In 2011, the Seven Sisters Apostolate was created by Janette Howe after she received an inspiration during prayer. She sensed God was calling her and other women to join in prayer for their pastor. With the support of her Pastor, Fr. Joseph R. Johnson, the Apostolate was started at seven churches. Today, the Seven Sisters Apostolate has grown to more than 1,350 parishes and has spread all over the world offering prayers for priests.
Mission: The Seven Sisters Apostolate is a call to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of the parish priest, or bishop. Prayers are offered for the sanctification of our pastor and his deeper conformity to Christ.
The Seven Sisters Apostolate is a group of women who have been called to specifically pray for the needs of our pastor. Seven core women commit to praying one Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament one day a week. Additional women who would like to join may supplement to the daily prayers for our shepherd. We pray for our pastor’s needs, intentions, and that he may develop a deeper love of our Blessed Mother.

O Jesus, eternal Priest,
keep your priests within the shelter of Your Sacred Heart,
where none may touch them.
Keep unstained their anointed hands,
which daily touch Your Sacred Body.
Keep unsullied their lips,
daily purpled with your Precious Blood.
Keep pure and unearthly their hearts,
sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood.
Let Your holy love surround them and
shield them from the world's contagion.
Bless their labors with abundant fruit and
may the souls to whom they minister be their joy and
consolation here
and in heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown.
Amen.
