The Family Life Ministry at St. Martin de Porres accompanies and empowers all families within our parish community – from young couples to seasoned parents, from single-parent households to multi-generational homes. Our ministry dedicates itself to strengthening families, deepening faith, cultivating memorable family and community activities, and fostering a vibrant domestic church that radiates throughout our parish.
Cultivating Community, Connecting Families and Igniting Faith
At the Family Life Ministry, our mission is to foster a vibrant connected community that empowers families to grow in faith and love. As we build our new church, we recognize the vital role that strong, faith-filled families will play in making this space a true home.
The demands and pressures of modern life often dictate the peace and substance of family life, and the family seems helpless and simply reacts to this frantic pace.
Through programs, retreats, and community-building initiatives, we seek to equip families with the graces, tools, and support they need to flourish as the fundamental building blocks of society and the Church. As we navigate the unique challenges and complexities of our modern age, the Family Life Ministry stands as a beacon of hope, inspiring our parish community to become witnesses to the power of the Gospel within the heart of the family.
Join us in the education building (right next to the church) for donuts and fellowship following the 10am Mass. Meet our Family Life Ministry Team and other parish family members.
The Stations of the Cross are a cherished Catholic tradition that allows us to walk alongside Jesus on his journey to the cross. By meditating on Christ's suffering and sacrifice, we deepen our understanding of his immense love for us. It's a powerful way to reflect on the meaning of Lent and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter. Round up the family and join us. It'll be a meaningful time for them to engage with their faith, and for all of us to come together as a family.
Support the Knights of Columbus with their Lenten Friday Fish Fry or bring picnic to meet new families.
Join us this Divine Mercy Sunday for our annual Easter Egg Hunt following the 10am Mass. Volunteers needed for stuffing eggs and facilitation of the Easter Egg Hunt activities. On 4/23 6:15pm, volunteers will be stuffing eggs . On 4/27 at 9am, volunteers needed to spread the eggs throughout the church grounds.
